![]() ![]() I successfully tested many type-C-to-DP1.4 cables and have both my gaming monitors push to their maximum resolutions and refresh rate. ![]() ** believe me not every active type-C-to-DP1.4 converter cable is made with the same quality. To take the advantage of supporting high refreshing rate and high resolution of DP 1.4 can support, it's better to use the active type-C-to-DP1.4 cable connected to the TB4 downstream ports for your monitors or to a KVM switch's DP1.4 video input ports. And most important will be the type-C-to-DP cables you need to plug into the multi-downstream Thunderbolt 4 ports on the dock or hub. So the first thing you want to check will be the built quality, but the spec. They just look a little difference for different brands' own marketing. Most all the Thunderbolt 4 docks or Thunderbolt hubs (TB4 Element or OWC TB4 hub) are sharing the same design cores from Intel.
